Global Sales Director (Window, Doors and Glass Division)

About the Role

The Global Sales Director is a newly created role that will own all areas of business development and account management across our Window, Door and Glass (WDG) software solutions division. You will assist in leading us through a brand collaboration effort and our next sales growth phase through realizing the power of these Window & Door software companies coming together as one.

As the Global Sales Director you will report directly to the EVP Sales and dotted line to to the Managing Director of the WDG business unit. You will be responsible for revenue growth worldwide across new business and our existing customer base, leading a small but highly effective sales team.

Customer and culture is the foundation for this organization. You will be a strong advocate and work relentlessly to ensure the values and product offerings of the organization are communicated.

This role will be based in the US and min 50% domestic and global travel will be required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop revenue and growth strategies for our Windows, Doors and Glass business together with the leadership and sales teams.
  • Lead the sales charge for the vertical with sustained energy and passion.
  • Accountable for both short-term success and long-term strategy, including forecasting.
  • Design and implement appropriate sales strategies and best practice methods for the vertical.
  • Advancing the sales teams infrastructure and processes in order to scale both team size and productivity.
  • Look after the team’s engagement and wellbeing to maintain an excellent morale and engagement ensure sales teams are consistently acting in accordance with the company’s and values.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching development and counselling as needed to the sales teams.
  • Build, discuss and manage budgets and targets for a fast and strong expansion of operations.
  • Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing on tactical initiatives to drive sales leads.
  • Identify strategic business opportunities, evaluate new product viability and marketability, working closely with Product Management.

Key Requirements:

  • 10+ years’ experience in sales and 5+ years in global sales leadership, in software/technology company, especially with large complex enterprise deals with long sales cycles.
  • Experience with a SaaS company with international bandwidth, experience operating in the US market and/or from the WDG industry will be a plus.
  • Proven track record of consistently hitting quarterly/annual quotas individually, geographically, and globally as a team.
  • Experience managing a global sales team, with a minimum total team size of 15, consists of but not limited to Sales Managers, Account Executives/Managers, Business Development Managers and Pre-Sales consultants.
  • Exceptional sales professional with high interest for customer interaction, customer success, enjoying being in front of prospect/customers whenever possible.
  • Entrepreneurial. Energy and enthusiasm are your forte. You think out-of-the-box and wow people with your creativity and quality work.
  • Ability to execute and implement change & naturally motivated to reach goals.
  • Highly developed skills within reporting and data driven decision making. Hands-on usage of CRM systems.
  • Experience of both Field Sales and Inside Sales models will be a plus.
  • Business integration (merger and/or acquisition) experience is highly desired.
  • Exceptional command of English language, natural presenting to C-suite. Multilingual in any European language is a plus.
